Are you interested in Horizon 2020, the largest funding programme for research and innovation in Europe? Have you ever wondered where the European Commission gets their ideas from for the topics calls? Would you like to learn how to convince the EC that your research idea is the perfect material to be included in one of the work programmes?
Then you should consider attending the workshop: “Writing Strategy Papers for H2020 working programs and the next EU framework program”
This is the first time such a workshop will be organised by the University, as part of UiB´s strategy to maximise the scientist´s chances in the competition for EU funds.

The workshop will be lead by Kristof Vlaeminck, from the Brussel office, in cooperation with the Division of Research Management (FA).

The goal of the workshop is 3-fold. Participants will (i) learn how to put your short, mid and long term ideas in such a way it can convince other researchers and finally the European Commission, (ii) get an insight on how the full process from bright idea to giving input to the European Commission works, and (iii) learn how the personnell at the Brussel office and FA can help you achieving your goal.

Note: Prior to the event, participants will be asked to write their ideas/topics down on the short (<2 years), mid (2-5 years) and long term (>5 years).

The 2nd announcement will be sent out mid-August, with the program and link to the on-line registration.

Important: place availability is limited. In case of oversubscription, a priority list will be put together in cooperation with faculty and department leaders
