The European Innovation Council (EIC) and the European Medicine Agency (EMA) will jointly hold a webinar on ‘Regulatory Support for the Development of Innovative Medicines and Technologies‘. The main aim is to inform researchers and SMEs active in research and innovation in the pharmaceutical and med-tech sectors about the wide range of EMA’s support services available and how to access them.
This free webinar will take place on 31 January 2023 (8:00-11:30 UK time) and no registration is required. The event will be broadcasted online. The agenda and further information are available on the event website.

Mengden forskningslitteratur som er tilgjengelig i dag gjør at det kan være vanskelig å holde oversikt. En grundig (evt. systematisk) kunnskapsoppsummering er den beste måten å skaffe seg oversikt over et tema eller felt på, men det finnes også verktøy som kan hjelpe oss før, i og etter arbeidet med en slik oppsummering. De kan gi svar på spørsmål som: Hvilke tidsskrifter er mest brukt? Hva slags terminologi er brukt, og hvordan har det endret seg over tid? Har jeg gått glipp av noen viktige artikler?

Tema for konferansen er: “In pursuit of a sustainable future: creating and anchoring interprofessional- and sustainability mindsets in educations and in the work field.”
Tveps etterspør abstracs (frist 15. januar) innenfor temaene «forskningsresultater; innovative eksempler på tverrprofesjonell samarbeidslæring; samfunnsnytte av studenters læring; hvordan kan man redusere ulikhet og øke bærekraft i utdanningene og i samfunnet; hvordan kan man utdanne veiledere som endringsagenter?
Temaene må falle inn under «interprofessional teamwork skills» og «pursuit of a sustainable future».
Bibliotek for medisin tilbyr kurs til studenter som del av studieplanen.
Vi tilbyr også kurs med påmelding for ansatte ved Det medisinske fakultetet og ansatte ved Helse Bergen. Dersom en gruppe ansatte har behov for kurs utover vårt kurstilbud, er det mulig å avtale et tilpasset kurs eller avdelingsbesøk.
Ved behov for individuell veiledning i litteratursøk til et prosjekt kan ansatte og stipendiater bestille tid hos en av våre bibliotekarer. Bibliotek for medisin tilbyr veiledning via Teams, Zoom, telefon eller epost.

Kursene skal holdes som hybridløsning, hvor det er mulighet for å delta både fysisk og digitalt via Zoom. Kursene er fortrinnsvis for ansatte og stipendiater. De fleste studenter får bibliotekkurs som en del av sin studieplan. Dersom ikke det er tilfelle kan de melde seg på disse kursene. Det siste kurset er spesielt for studenter som vil vite mer om litteraturoppgaver, og som ikke har hatt eget kurs om det.

University of Bergen and Helse Bergen are members of four European research infrastructures in the field of translational medicine: BBMRI, ELIXIR, EATRIS, and ECRIN. The four research infrastructures work in parallel, providing complementary services to researchers in the field of biomedical sciences and support the development of personalized medicine and new treatments.
We invite researchers to learn more about each research infrastructure and how they can help you with a focus on services that support funding applications. The national coordinators of each research infrastructure are available for 1:1 meeting where you can ask specific questions regarding your project or get more information. The sixth SDG Conference Bergen will take place 8-10 February 2023 with the theme “A just transformation to a sustainable future” (see SDG Conference Bergen | University of Bergen (uib.no) for details). This fully digital conference provides new opportunities to present emerging and important research by motivated PhD students and postdoctoral researchers addressing the conference themes. We therefore invite all PhDs and postdoctoral researchers that are interested to present a videorecorded poster on your research and how it relates to the theme of the upcoming conference.
The deadline for submitting a two-minute videorecorded poster is 31 January, 2023.

| SDG Conference Bergen 2023: A just transformation to a sustainable future 8–10 February 2023 In order to succeed with a sustainable transformation of our societies we must face the grand challenges of our time. How can we ensure that this transformation is just and leaves no one behind? The 6th annual SDG Conference Bergen will tackle such fundamental challenges to the 2030 Agenda, looking at how to reduce the pressure on planetary boundaries while ensuring human rights, peace and security, sustenance, health and education, and other social prerequisites for a good life. The conference will include speakers from around the world with representation from academia, government, civil society, industry, and more. Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre will open the conference. Mohn Research Center for Regenerative Medicine (MRCRM) welcomes all students, faculty and staff to the Mini symposium on Wednesday 7th of December.
The afternoon starts at 11 am with a lunch, and then there are talks from 11.30 am to 2 pm. Both PIs and junior scientists present very interesting work, within the wide range of regenerative medicine.
At 2 pm there will also be an official opening ceremony of the Ex-vivo Facility, the clean room facility where stem cell and advanced cell therapy products for Helse Vest will be produced.

Forskere trenger å møtes fysisk noen ganger for å kunne utveksle idéer og kunnskap, ikke bare utveksle eposter og glo på hverandre i en liten Teams- eller Zoom-rute. MSCA Staff Exchanges (SE) gir mulighet for å realisere slike møter gjennom å finansiere reise og opphold for ansatte i forsknings- og innovasjonsorganisasjoner. Det er selvfølgelig lagt rammer for mobiliteten, og prosjektene finansierer mobiliteten innen rammen av konsortier. Dette og mere til vil en representant fra Research Executive Agency (REA), Aleksandra Scoetz-Sobczak, informere om i webinar i forbindelse med utlysningen for 2022 (som har søknadsfrist 8. mars 2023).
Webinaret finner sted 14. desember 09:30 – 11:00, og det blir muligheter for å stille spørsmål til foredragsholderne. Hvert tredje innsendte prosjektforslag til 2021-fristen ble innvilget. Her er mulighetene store for å få til et prosjekt som fokuserer på kunnskapsutveksling og samarbeid over landegrenser globalt, og mellom institusjoner i alle sektorer.

We are happy to welcome you all to the upcoming CCBIO Junior Scientist Symposium, December 8th, 2022. This seminar series is a perfect place to meet and interact with other young scientists. We anticipate that the discussions will be as lively and interesting as the October Symposium. We are very happy to announce that Professor Camilla Krakstad at CCBIO, will give a talk about her experiences with going abroad for research and give some early career advice. The program is varied and exiting spanning from treatment strategies for AML patients, phenotypic profiling of young women with breast cancer, immune and microenvironmental responses to cell death in glioblastoma and what emotional eating and changes in dietary patterns may do to the mind.

Vi samler forskere, rådgivere og fagpersoner fra NAV og UiB for å bli litt kjent med hverandre, samt innholdet og mulighetene i rammeavtalen mellom UIB og NAV Vestland.
Formålet med samarbeidsavtalen er forskning, kompetanseutvikling, innovasjon og samarbeid om arbeidsrelevans. Kort og godt, ønsker man at mer av bidraget til den nasjonale velferdsforskningen kommer fra vestlandet.
