To those of you who have not yet registered all of your holiday for 2015 in Pagaweb: Please make sure that you register your remaining holiday this year. Deadline: October 31st, 2015.
If you have not registered and / or applied for transference of your holiday by the 31th of October we will consider your holiday as spent and register this in PAGA.
Transfer of vacation:
As a rule all vacation should be completed before the end of the year. You can still apply to have as many as 14 vacation days transferred to the next year via PAGA. In the application you must explain your plan for these days in 2016 / or why
you have not been able to take all the vacation in 2015 (only sic leave and leave of absence will be consideed as valid reasons).
Any remaining vacation cannot be compensated with pay. This means that anyone who has more than 14 remaiing vacation days must make sure to use these before the end of the year.
We will remind you that it is not possible to transfer “seniorpolitisk” vacation to 2016. These must be completed before any transfer of ordinary vacation.
According to the Public Holidays Act it is considered the DUTY of all employees to spend their holidays every year, and it is the responsibility of the employer to control that their entire vacation is taken every year (The Holidays Act §5 nr. 1).
The Holidays Act §6, no. 1: The employer has an obligation to discuss time for taking holidays. If the parties cannot agree, the employer determines the time for the holidays.
PhD Research Fellows, Postdoctors and other temporary staff that end their employment during the current year, have to take out as much as possible of their holidays before their end date.
How to register your holiday:
1. Log onto Pagaweb;
2. Click on Tasks, New Form, Holiday.
3. Click Add and select Avviklet/registrert ferie (210).
4. Enter the dates and click Save.
5. To add more dates, repeat steps 3 and 4.
6. Add a comment that the holidays are approved by your immediate manager.
7. Send the form “Til godkjenning”.
OBS! Time for holiday should be clarified with your immediate superior before the holiday is registered in PAGA
