Det stunder til høst og også tid for den årlige medarbeidersamtalen. Alle ansatte ved K2 har rett på å ha en årlig medarbeidersamtale med en overordnet på instituttet. Medarbeidersamtalen er viktig, først og fremst for den enkelte som har anledning til å ta opp aktuelle saker relatert til sin arbeidssituasjon samt temaer som for eksempel kompetanseheving og karriere. Lederen har anledning til å ta opp den enkeltes arbeidsinnsats og saker relatert til den. Forhåpentligvis bidrar samtalen til et bedre arbeidsmiljø på K2. Rent praktisk kommer jeg til å ha medarbeidersamtale med alle forskningsgruppelederne på K2 samt alle vitenskapelige i fulle stillinger. Den enkelte forskningsgruppeleder skal ikke nødvendigvis selv ha samtale med alle på i sin forskningsgruppe, men sørge for at alle får tilbud om det. Planen er at alle på K2 skal ha fått tilbud om en medarbeidersamtale i løpet av høsten.
Per[:en]It is time for the annual employee appraisal. All employees at K2 have the right to have an annual appraisal with a supervisor at the department. The appraisal is important, primarily for the individual who has the opportunity to take up current issues related to his/her work situation as well as topics such as skills upgrading and career. The supervisor has the opportunity to follow up on the individual’s work and matters relating to it. Hopefully the appraisal will help enhancing the working environment at K2. In practical terms, I will have appraisals with all the leaders of the research groups at K2 and all scientists engaged in full positions. Each research group leader will not necessarily personally have an appraisal with every member of his/her group, but should make sure that the members of the group are offered an appraisal. The plan is that everybody at K2 should have been offered an appraisal during the autumn.

Vi presenterer Linn Iversen, ny økonomikonsulent ved K2 fra 1. september 2016. Linn skal hovedsakelig arbeide for Brystkreftgruppen ledet av professor Per Eystein Lønning. Hver mandag sitter hun i 8. etasje i laboratoriebygget, så ta gjerne turen innom for å si hei.

Flere UiB forskere samarbeider med CUHK, både bilateralt og multilateralt gjennom WUN. Som WUN medlemsuniversitet, er UiB en av CUHKs prioriterte internasjonale samarbeidspartnere og UiB forskere gis derved muligheten for å søke om støtte til forskningsopphold på CUHK gjennom deres Inbound Research Mobility Scheme.
Dette er en mulighet for UiB forskere til å søke om støtte for forskningsopphold ved Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) i løpet av 1. halvår 2017.
