Dear everyone,
It is still summer, yet the warm breeze of the new academic year is slowly weaving its energy into our lives. I am honored to step into the role of Head of Innovation to support creative efforts within UiB and nurture innovative developments through active collaborations. I personally appreciate all hard work clinicians and researchers put into conducting precious clinical studies. We have very dedicated and talented researchers with great ideas and hope we can also promote and inspire academic entrepreneurship in the future.
In my own research, we apply genomic technologies targetd to deliver patient-oriented solutions, novel prognostic and diagnostic biomarkers that drive meaningful advancements in precision medicine. I have been privileged to work in excellent international environments and look forward to fostering and expanding these collaborations at UiB. Synergies between educational institutions and hospitals foster opportunities for shared learning and innovation, provide a platform for the dissemination of valuable knowledge, enhance the visibility of our funders, and ensure that patients who place immense trust in our work receive the crucial support they need when it matters most. We should also be better in doing outreach activities to disseminate and communicate our findings.
