Scholarships for researchers and PhD students for studies abroad in human nutrition and scholarships for visiting scholars.

Henning and Johan Throne-Holst’s Foundation was formed in 1976 through a donation from the company Marabou. The Foundation aims to promote research in human nutrition and related sciences in Sweden and Norway. The foundation annually allocates 1-2 million SEK.
In 2016, the foundation announces the following scholarships for research in human nutrition and related sciences:

• Postdoctoral scholarships for research abroad. The scholarships are preferably given within six years of disputation and intends to cover the researcher’s expenses for travel and accommodation for 1-2 years. Contributions to accompanying person may also be included.
• Scholarships for postdocs for a short stay at a foreign research center that the applicant or his home institution cooperates with, to provide an opportunity to undertake special sub-studies or learn special techniques.
• Scholarships for PhD candidates who need to study at a leading international center as part of his or her doctoral dissertation. The scholarships are granted for a period of 3-12 months.
• Fellowships to internationally recognized scholars who are willing to work in Swedish or Norwegian research groups for 1-6 months to stimulate the quality of the group’s research.
