Dear PhD students (even some who have already (just!) finished, some who are about to finish!!),
This year we invite motivated students from Mat.Nat., Social Science, Medicine and Law, indeed ALL faculties, to present posters on their research related to Ocean biodiversity, sustainability, blue carbon, marine innovation, marine exploration, seafood, human health, policy and climate change themes. We will host a hybrid conference this year, with most participants following online and some in the Aula. Thus, we are thinking a bit out-of-the-box when it comes to the poster session:
Each student who is motivated to submit a poster will:
- submit a first poster draft by October 15th to email@example.com
- receive concrete feedback from the organizers by October 22nd
- re-submit your poster for printing by November 1st
- record your 2-minute poster video in a UiB studio with a coach (Dorothy + any other volunteers!) and a video technician during the first week of November.
All accepted posters will be printed on high-quality material by the OSB organizers for display in the Aula during the conference.
Your poster videos will be in the “Expo” function in the digital interface (Hopin) of the conference for all digital participants to view. We have been inspired by these “Om i morgen” talks and will follow a similar format: https://www.omimorgen.com/mesmerize/oim-talks-episoder/
If you know of any of your peers at UiB (no matter what faculty), please feel free to forward this invitation also to them. We will be selecting up to 8 student posters.
Please register your interest here by October 6th:
