[:no]Innovasjon var et av temaene diskutert på vårens strategimøte. I samarbeid med Institutt for biomedisin følger vi opp saken med et felles seminar om Innovasjon og bioteknologi. 11. mai vil professor Ulf Landegren fra Uppsala Universitet holde 2 seminarer om «Innovation and biotechnology» og “Molecular tools for high performance analyses of proteins and nucleic acids”, det siste holdes som et BBB-seminar. Det blir også anledning til å snakke med Landegren i mindre grupper.

Ulf Landgren står bak en rekke oppfinnelser som er kommersialisert på en vellykket, blant annet Padlock-metoden for amplifisering av DNA og «proximity ligation» som gir ultrasensitiv deteksjon av molekyler. Sistnevnte metode førte til opprettelsen av selskapet Olink (www.olink.com).

Eystein[:en]Innovation was one of the topics discussed at the spring’s strategy meeting. In collaboration with the The Department of Biomedicine, we follow up on the matter with a joint seminar on Innovation and biotechnology. May 11^th, Professor Ulf Landgren from Uppsala University will hold two seminars on «Innovation and biotechnology» and «Molecular tools for high performance analyzes of proteins and nucleic acids», the latter is held as a BBB-seminar. It also gives the opportunity to speak with Landgren in smaller groups.

Ulf Landgren delivers a number of inventions that are commercialized successfully, including Padlock method for amplification of DNA and «proximity ligation» that provides ultra-sensitive detection of molecules. The latter method led to the creation of the company OLink (www.olink.com).
