We invite you to the second CCBIO Junior Scientist Symposium of the semester on June 2. The event brings together researchers from various fields within biomedical and translational research, and facilitates professional exchange, new collaborations and good discussions.
The symposium opens with a keynote lecture by Kine Gregersen and Malgorzata Barczyk from VIS (Vestlandets Innovasjonsselskap), who will highlight innovation and commercialization of research. This will be followed by professional presentations within interprofessional health education, cancer biology, tumor microenvironment and early tumorigenesis:
- Miral Alabbasi presents research on interprofessional learning and collaborative skills among pharmacy students in Western Norway.
- Tessa Lohr discusses interactions between breast cancer cells and peripheral neurons, focusing on axon guidance factors and cancer innervation.
- Md Kaykobad Hossain presents molecular mechanisms driving tumorigenesis in bladder cancer.
- Sunniva Brownrigg shows how oncogenic KRAS and impaired proteostasis can interact in the early development of pancreatic cancer.
