MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 – webinar for applicants, researchers, advisors The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) provide around 1600 fellowships for postdoctoral positions annually. If you are considering a stay abroad as a postdoctoral fellow, or want to supervise an outstanding foreign researcher who will apply for an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship at a Norwegian institution, careful preparation is important to succeed in the competition. The University of Bergen is establishing UiB Kvante – Center for Quantum Technology in Bergen. The center is funded by UiB and the Trond Mohn Research Foundation, with a total budget of NOK 80 million over five years. The goal is to build an interdisciplinary center based on strong academic environments, which can develop quantum technology with direct impact on society.

Dear everyone!
With some delay you now can apply for the small-scale funding. The funds are a joint venture between the faculty and the institute. The intention is to help those without major funding to start projects and get into position to apply for larger grants.
Applications for operating costs, travel expenses, seminars, courses, materials, and technical-administrative assistance are welcomed.
Application requirements and the faculty’s award criteria:
Funding for researchers who have applied to NFR, EU or others without success, who do not have operating funds already.
You can apply for 15 000-75 000 NOK.
The funds have to be used within 2026 and cannot be transferred to 2027.
Recipient has to be an active researcher with a permanent scientific position at K2 (50% or more)

Reconstruction will be carried out in the BB building (Jonas Lies vei 91). The work includes the Physiology rooms on the 2nd floor and the Histology rooms on the 4th floor, including associated rooms. The reconstruction involves new floor plans, renovation of surfaces and upgrades to technical installations such as ventilation, electrical and AV equipment.
