Mohn Center for Diabetes Precision Medicine, Department of Clinical Science,
O’Rahilly’s research has illuminated many aspects of human endocrine and
metabolic physiology and pathophysiology, frequently gaining insights from genetic
discovery in human extreme phenotypes.

Some highlights include the discovery that humans can become obese as a result of mutations in single genes (PCSK1, Leptin, MC4R), the role of MC3R in puberty timing, and the intricate role of how GDF15 cause nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.

After both lectures, there will be plenty of time to discuss with Stephen.
