Main goals of the Faculty of Medicine

Dean Per Bakke has initiated a process in which the Faculty of Medicine wants to identify a few main goals that are common to the entire Faculty. It is about describing goals that we all should / want / to work for, and which make us proud to be part of our Faculty. The idea is that these should be goals for a given period of time, e.g. five years.

Some moments regarding the goals:

  • They should be something to work towards and reach for, but not unrealistic to achieve and not be dependent on improbable appropriations
  • They must be part of the assignment The Faculty of Medicine has as a university and in line with the strategies of K2, the Faculty and UiB
  • They must be able to be integrated with other departments within our Faculty
  • They should be measurable – did we reach the goals?

The process at K2 will go through the research groups which received this information last week. Contact your group to participate in the discussion on proposals for these goals. The deadline for the research groups’ input to the management group at K2 is 26 November.

Dear Researchers of the Department of Clinical Medicine (K1), Department of Clinical Science (K2), and Helse-Vest,

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to present your work at the 16th Annual Research Presentations arranged by the Research School in Clinical Medicine and would like to remind that the deadline is approaching.

This is an excellent opportunity to share your research and to get a chance to win a cash award worth between 3000 NOK and 10 000 NOK.

The event will be held on January 26-28, 2022, at Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen.

UiBdoc event, November 24th

Dear PhD students, post-docs and other fixed-term researchers at UiB,

Would you like to get to know other researchers at UiB from all kinds of disciplines? Are you interested in learning more about your rights as an employee at UiB? Is there something you would like to change?

The new board of UiBdoc would like to invite you to our first event of the semester on Wednesday the 24th of November at 6pm at Integrerbar.

In our first gathering we would like to get to know each other and share with you the ideas, plans and social events we are brewing for the upcoming year. After a brief presentation we will have a quiz to check how well you know our University and Bergen 😊. We will provide pizza from Hoggorm and the bar will sell drinks.
