At the 40th winter meeting of European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Pharmacology And Molecular Mechanisms (PAMM)
group, Dr. Gro Vatne Røsland presented her work ‘Epithelial to mesenchymal transition (EMT) is associated with attenuation of succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) in breast cancer, through reduced expression of SDHC’. For this scientific presentation she was awarded the Prize for Best Oral Communication. The annual meeting of the EORTC PAMM Group in Oncology took place in Verona, Italy February 6th-9th 2019.
Gro is currently working as a postdoctoral fellow in a project
collaboration between the mitochondrial research group headed by Prof
Karl Johan Tronstad at IBM and Prof Olav Dahl at the oncology department
at Haukeland University Hospital. Her scholarship is funded by
Helse-Vest.
