On Monday, 10 August, the University of Bergen will mark the start of the new academic year with the traditional Welcome Ceremony at Muséplass. The ceremony is open to all students and staff.
The ceremony begins at 10:00, but there will be an informal warm-up hosted by the student ambassadors from 09:45. Admission starts at 09:00.
Access to Muséplass is available from all four surrounding streets. The accessible entrance ramp is located at the entrance on Harald Hårfagres gate.
The Welcome Ceremony takes place outdoors at Muséplass, so please dress according to the weather. Umbrellas are not permitted within the ceremony area due to visibility, safety, and accessibility considerations for other participants.
