Dear everyone,
Time flies, and there is a lot going on. Many are working on applications to both the Trond Mohn Foundation, the EU, NFR, the Cancer Society, NovoNordisk etc., and I really appreciate all the application activity! Just remember to fill in skjemaet om eksternfinansiering (the link appears when you click on "read more" at the bottom of the page) so that one of the project economists can help with the budgeting. Our finance coordinator Beate Bernes had her last day with us last week, there will probably be some challenges before a new economist is in place, but since the economists from the faculty/AHH are moving next week to the 8th floor of the lab building, I am convinced that we will find solutions for most of the issues.
Otherwise, there are many of you who are working intensively on the study plan for the multi-campus model 2025, thank you very much to all of you who make an extra effort to make it a success. There will be some changes in relation to both MED2015 and Vestlandslegen, but we will ensure that all our medical students receive an equivalent education regardless of whether they are in Bergen, Stavanger, Førde or Haugesund in the last three years of their studies. It was very gratifying to read that Medisin Bergen/Haugesund is among the studies with the most first-choice applicants per study place (https://www.khrono.no/stor-vekst-i-sokertallene/1053838).
Finally, a few words about the working group that will review K2's finances and organization and provide input for further development. We will have some meetings with the K2 management, the department council and the entire department, and there will also be opportunities to provide input. We will inform continuously in K2nytt. This will turn out well!
Have a really good weekend!
Silke
