Did you know that the University of Bergen awards its own working environment award every year? It goes to individuals or groups who have made an extra effort to create a good and safe working environment – either through warmth, unity, HSE measures or simply by being really good colleagues. In 2024, the award went to Fungisai Ottemöller at the HEMIL Institute, who was praised for his inclusive and creative leadership style. Now it's time to find this year's candidate(s)!
Who can be nominated? Everyone!
A colleague, a group, a professional environment and a section – as long as they have done something that has strengthened the working environment at UiB. How do you nominate? You use a digital nomination form (HR has made it easy); University Working Environment Award
Frist: 31. januar 2026 – så du har god tid til å tenke gjennom hvem som fortjener litt ekstra heder og ære.
Award ceremony: The award will be presented at HR Day 2026, and the winner will receive both a diploma and a cash prize.
PS for those of you who are new (or young at heart): This is a great opportunity to highlight those who make the workday a little better – whether it's someone who always says hello, takes responsibility for well-being, or has introduced a brilliant HSE measure you didn't know you needed.
PS to those of you who have been here for a while: If you're wondering what an apprentice actually does, this is a good time to strike up a chat - maybe you'll get a nomination tip in return!
