New Vice Chair at Haukeland University Hospital

Per BakkeThis week it was announced that Clara Gjesdal will take up the position as vice chair at Haukeland University Hospital. From the point of view of the faculty and K2, this is very good news.

Clara has been head of the Department of Rheumatology for several years and has also held a position as associate professor at K2. She will keep her associate professorship at K2 also after taking up her new position at the hospital. In her previous job at the Department of Rheumatology she has clearly shown that she favors close collaboration between the hospital and the faculty. A good relationship between the two institutions is important for both parts and also to counteract the influence and dominance of Oslo and Trondheim. Even if the collaboration between the hospital and faculty works well, there are several areas at which there is room for improvement. The new vice chair is very well suited and positioned to contribute to this.

Clara, Good luck in your new job!
