3rd CCBIO Junior Scientist Symposium – 15th of October

We are delighted to bring together outstanding researchers who will discuss cutting-edge science and innovative methodologies. The keynote lecture will be delivered by Henriette Ertsås. She is a brilliant researcher and science communicator who integrates scientific expertise and theatre to communicate complex concepts to broad audiences. Her keynote “The Cancer Cell – a sociopath of the body” is an inspiration for outreach and will also discuss priorities in research. Following the keynote, a selection of talented junior scientists from our faculty will present their ongoing research projects: Anastasia Doumani will present the role of RAB4A in regulating extracellular vesicle secretion. Ghazal Lessan Toussi will discuss spatial characterization of the tumor microenvironment in breast cancer.

After lunch, Mikko Baur will discuss the genetics of infant development, and lastly, Daniela Pavlicenco will discuss the use of cellular barcoding technology for clonal tracking in endometrial cancer mouse models. We believe this symposium will inspire meaningful scientific discussions in a dynamic, collaborative environment, and offer a wonderful chance to meet and learn from researchers across diverse fields.

Please register by October 12 at 11.00. (Also possible later if you won’t be joining the lunch)

When: October 15, 2026, at 09.00-12.30
