20th Annual Research Presentations at the Graduate School of Clinical Medicine 28–30 January 2026

Dear researchers at the Department of Clinical Medicine (K1), Department of Clinical Science (K2) and Helse-Vest,

On behalf of the Graduate School of Clinical Medicine, we are pleased to invite you to present your work at the 20th Annual Research Presentations. This is a great opportunity to showcase your research – and a chance to win prizes ranging from 3,000 NOK to 10,000 NOK. The event will take place at Haukeland University Hospital from 28 to 30 January 2026.

Who can apply?

• PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows and researchers (including medical students and employees in health enterprises conducting research) affiliated with K1 or K2 at the University of Bergen and/or Helse-Vest
• Authors of posters or oral presentations that have been presented at national or international conferences in 2025
• Candidates may present both posters and oral presentations, provided that both were presented in 2025 and address different aspects of the same topic.

• Due to limited time and space, only the first 20 oral presentations and first 50 posters will be accepted.
• Registration opens: November 3, 2025
• Submission deadline: December 1, 2025

Mandatory attachments:

Poster presentations:

• Original conference papers as PDF (at least 300 DPI)
• Summery
• A short summary in easy-to-understand Norwegian (max. 5 sentences) aimed at patients and relatives
• If the poster has already been printed, we ask that this be brought along. If not, we will print it for you (approx. A0 size)

Oral presentations:

• Summery
• PowerPoint-presentation of the project as presented at the conference in 2025

Program

January 28 – Poster presentations

• Each participant gets 5 minutes to present their poster (3 minutes presentation + 2 minutes questions from the committee)

January 29 – Oral presentations

• Each participant will have 10 minutes for presentation, followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
• The presentation should be in its original form, but with a general introduction to make it accessible to a wide audience.
• The presentation will be held in English.
• Minor adjustments (e.g. translation from Norwegian to English) are permitted. Final version must be submitted by January 20, 2026

January 30 – Awards Ceremony

    2. place:5 000 NOK
    3. place: 3 000 NOK
• Best oral presentation:
  • 1. place: 10,000 NOK
    2. place:5 000 NOK

Postdoctoral fellows/researchers

• Best entries: 5,000 NOK
• Best oral presentation: 5,000 NOK
