[:no]Novo Nordisk Foundation har annonsert den nyeste utgaven av sitt årlige Challenge Programme, hvor de for første gang inviterer forskere utenfor Danmark til å lede samarbeid som søker om stipend for å studere fire hovedtemaer.
Med temaer som endres hvert år, gir Challenge Programme betydelig, langsiktig finansiering for å muliggjøre vitenskapelig dybde og fokus, og for å legge til rette for synergi mellom forskningspartnerne. De fire temaene for 2026-utgaven er:
- Harnessing biology for climate-resilient and healthy soils
- Unravelling the pathways of human invasive fungal diseases
- Modelling human cardiometabolic disease
- Biological systems under non-equilibrium conditions
Utfordringsprogrammet utlyser åpen konkurranse. Interessentmeldinger sendes inn innen 8. oktober 2025, og den endelige kunngjøringen av tildelingene forventes i mai 2026.

[:en]The Novo Nordisk Foundation has announced the latest edition of its annual Challenge Programme, where for the first time it is inviting researchers from outside Denmark to lead collaborations applying for grants to study four major themes.
With themes changing every year, the Challenge Programme provides substantial, long-term funding to enable scientific depth and focus and to facilitate synergy between the research partners. The four themes for the 2026 edition are:
- Harnessing biology for climate-resilient and healthy soils
- Unravelling the pathways of human invasive fungal diseases
- Modelling human cardiometabolic disease
- Biological systems under non-equilibrium conditions
The Challenge Programme calls for applications in open competition. Expressions of interest are invited by 8 October 2025, with the final awards announcement expected in May 2026.
A webinar covering the Challenge Programme and theme will be held on 12 June 2025.
