On Wednesday, November 26, administrative staff gathered in the University Auditorium for this year's Administration Day at the Faculty of MedicineThe theme of the day was change – a current and important topic in a time where both small and large processes affect our everyday lives.
Faculty director Synnøve Myhre opened the day with a welcome and introduction, before the participants had the opportunity to get to know their colleagues better around the table. This was followed by a presentation about change and restructuring by the HR Director Kathrine Brosvik Thorsenand a status update on Prosjekt Vestlandslegen ved Kristin Walter and Ørjan LerenBefore lunch there was also time for a quiz that created both laughter and a competitive instinct.
After lunch we got an insight into The Service Innovation Program and "Design Thinking" ved Howaida Abdelrahman and Eirik Dalheim, as well as a review of change processes at HF by the faculty director Kim Ove HommenThe day was rounded off with presentations from Driv – Center for Women's Health Research, where the center coordinator Nina Grytten Torkildsen told about the center, and researcher Ester Kringeland gave a professional presentation about women and blood pressure.
Administration Day is an important arena for sharing experiences, learning new tools and strengthening the community across units. Many thanks to everyone who contributed with commitment and good input – and to the committee (Ørjan Leren, Nils Gunnar Songstad, Jan Vidar Drammen-Hjelmeseth, Ingri Skulstad Lunde, Cathrine Svanevik, Lanakila Kaya Mehr og Kamile Servetkaite) which made for an inspiring day.
