This event is inspired by the work around Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations (se https://parc.bristol.ac.uk/africa-charter/ for more information about the Africa Charter). UiB is involved in this work through 1) the Rector having signed the Africa Charter on behalf of UiB (September 2024) and 2) through UiB's involvement in the university network Coimbra Group, and in particular the Global Partnerships working group)
The event on December 3 is organized by Global Social Challenges (GSU) and Coimbra Group Global Partnerships, in collaboration with the Southern African – Nordic Centre (SANORD) network at UiB and HVL. The invitation goes out to all relevant academic communities in Bergen. We would like the help of the GSU academic steering group to disseminate information to the faculties, and we ask that you share this as you find relevant in your own faculties.
