The research information system Cristin and UiB's open, institutional archive BORA have now been replaced by
Norwegian Research Information Repository (NVA), and NVA is up and running. Content from Cristin and BORA has been migrated over to NVA, and NVA
replaces all functions previously operated by Cristin and BORA.
The Norwegian Research Information Repository will gather publications and other research results, and make them openly
accessible in a common national solution. The system is run by SIKT, the sectors service provider.
The migration of other institutions' archive to NVA is still ongoing, so the system is still in a
transtition period. This may cause some instabilities inb the system until the main launch.
The main launch of NVA will happen once the migration of all archives, towards the end of September/beginning of
October.

Good to know about the migration to NVA
- All content in NVA is openly accessible for everyone.
- Sign-in in NVA is done through Feide, and everyone with a Feide account from UiB will be able to sign in. Additionally, it will be
possible to sign in through ID-porten. To be able to register new publications and projects, and
edit existing ones, one must be associated with an institution. - All scientific staff will have access to edit in NVA.
- Technical and administrative staff needing access to register or
edit in NVA, will need to be activated manually. - Researcher's publications and results shall be registered in NVA. The full text of publications that shall be
accessible are to be uploaded to NVA. - Reportation of results (NVI) will be handled through NVA.
- The publications shown on profile pages on UiB.no will be retrieved from NVA.
- Stable/permanent links to BORA-posts will still work.
