Announcement of scholarship funds for employee exchange in spring 2026 - north2north program

UiB is a member of the UArctic network, which is now announcing remaining funds for staff exchanges between institutions
associated with the north2north (n2n) mobility program for spring 2026.

Purpose
The call aims to strengthen connections and cooperation between Norwegian and international n2n institutions, and to stimulate increased mobility among both students and employees.

Who can apply?
Both academic and administrative staff can apply for support for travel and accommodation in connection with exchange.

For Norwegian host institutions
Norwegian institutions that wish to invite employees from North American or British n2n partners can
apply for travel and accommodation support for incoming employees. These use the same application form as
outgoing employees (see attachment). Differentiated grant rates are used for employee mobility – see
employee guidelines for details. You can see this here: north2north for Norway

Prioritization of applications
Employees are encouraged to collaborate with the host institution on facilitating student exchange, both for outgoing and incoming students. Applications that include a concrete and feasible plan for further
Student exchange will be prioritized when allocating scholarship funds.
Søknadsfrist og innsending
UiB sends a combined institutional application. Applications for both outgoing and incoming employees are sent
to nina.stein@uib.no by Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
