Dear everyone,
A lot of good work is currently going on in the various teaching groups at K2 related to input on proposals for a new study model for the medical program. It requires a lot of effort for many to change established teaching, and at the same time, some changes are absolutely necessary to achieve a common multi-campus model with students distributed across Førde, Haugesund, Stavanger and Bergen in the last three years of study. A big thank you for the tremendous effort from so many to ensure well-trained doctors for the future in Western Norway!
The Medisin2015 practical placements that over many years have been in Stavanger, Førde and Haugesund will be transferred to the hospitals in the Bergen region over the coming years. To make this happen, many different professional environments in the hospitals, in collaboration with UiB, have done extensive mapping and planning work over the past few months, and the report is now nearly completed for submission to the Joint Education Council Health Bergen, Haraldsplass Diaconal Hospital, and UiB (link: Joint education council with Bergen Health and Haraldsplass Diakonale Hospital | Faculty of Medicine | UiB)
