Of course you would never publish in a predatory journal…or would you?
UiB Ferd Career Centre lecture about predatory publishing. Henriette Christie Ertsås/ Science to the people humbly asks if scientific discovery can ever be compatible with the reigning publishing model, without science and society falling prey.

Do you have an innovative idea you wish to develop further? The University of Bergen offers support for early-stage innovation projects through UiB Idé. The next application deadline is 14 February 2025.Early-stage innovation projects should have the potential to address a need or contribute to societal benefit, have the potential for value creation, and the potential for scalability/becoming available to specific users or society. Projects can come from any academic discipline.
How much can you apply for?
Research projects (including PhD and postdoctoral projects): Up to NOK 500,000
Student projects: Up to NOK 100,000

The purpose of the Pioneer Innovator Grant Sustainability & Health is to accelerate the commercialization of research findings and the development of novel technologies within sustainability or health.
Both areas of the Pioneer Innovator Grants seek to support novel academic science-based discoveries with commercial potential. The grant aims to stimulate the evaluation of ideas and to support experiments and activities leading to proof-of-concept or beyond.
