The University of Bergen invites to the annual one day conference on gender equality 4 December.
This is the fourth conference monitoring the Equality Action Plan 2012 – 2015. The plan ends at New Year, and it is time for summing up and pointing the way forward. In previous conferences we have focused on different grounds of discrimination, how attitudes and prejudices is created and maintained, the consequences for the recruitment of employees and the work environment, learning environment and research.
On this last conference in the series, we want to devote time to recap and reflection on the experience we have gained with this plan. At the same time we will also present the Balance project and the results from it this far. The projet will then be almost 2 years into the project period.
The conference will be opened by rector Dag Rune Olsen and conclude with a panel discussion.
The programme is not yet entirely ready, but we can promise an exciting and interesting day in terms of both the academic and cultural content.
