The Faculty of Medicine's new honorary doctor, Anna Gloyn, became interested in her field when she had a fellow student who had type 1 diabetes. Now she is one of the leading stars in diabetes research.
Anna Gloyn has worked as a professor of pediatrics (endocrinology) and genetics at Stanford since February 2020. Before that, she worked for sixteen years at the University of Oxford where she also completed her PhD/DPhil.
