The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bergen invites PhD supervisors to a breakfast seminar on a current and popular topic: artificial intelligence in everyday research. The seminar will take place on Tuesday, February 11, 2026, 8:30–10:00 AM at Alrek Health Center.
Professor Rune Johan Krumsvik will present the content under the title "Can voice-controlled AI assistants improve performance – and health – among PhD candidates?"The lecture addresses how digital tools can support doctoral students in the demanding everyday life of researchers, and the opportunities and challenges that come with AI technology in academia.
The event is part of the competence building for PhD supervisors, and provides space for professional enrichment, reflection and discussion over a good breakfast. Registration is via the link in the invitation, and questions can be directed to Havjin Jacob at havjin.jacob@uib.no.
