We invite you to a day filled with activities for young and old, both inside and outside the University Museum.

All activities are free and suitable for both young and old.

Godt Brød/Kafé Christie will be open all day and have a sales cart outside at Muséplassen.

Activities in the museum

Time: 11:00-16:00

We invite you to activities and knowledge exchange about the world around you. Among other things, bring with you:

  • Learn about gunfights and armor from the Middle ages
  • Study spiders and other live insects up close. Do you dare to hold one?
  • Learn to make tools from flint, like they did in the Stone Age.
  • How do you actually stop an animal?
  • Have you found a rock you're wondering what it is? Bring it to our geologists and learn more about what you've found!
  • Mathematical soap bubbles
  • Whose skull is this? Guess which animal different skulls belong to
  • Study coastal animal species up close under a microscope
  • Using mobile EEG, you can explore how the brain reacts when you hear familiar and unfamiliar pieces of music.
  • How do we create a mini-brain in the lab? Study up close how scientists create tiny “mini-brains” from stem cells to understand how brain diseases arise
  • And much, much more!
