Did you know that cancer treatment can damage the heart – and that women are affected more often than men?
Introduction: Helga Midtbø, cardiologist and associate professor
Time: 16.03.26 at 12-13
Location: Rooms 9.1 and 9.2, Laboratory Building, Haukeland University Hospital
Cancer survival rates have never been higher, but many people continue to live with long-term damage that can affect heart health, among other things. This is especially true for women and people who have been treated for breast cancer.
During this seminar, cardiologist and associate professor Helga Midtbø will take us into the rapidly growing field of cardio-oncology, where modern cancer treatment and heart health meet, and where new knowledge can contribute to safer follow-up and better quality of life for women during and after cancer treatment.
The seminar is organized by the Center for Research on Heart Disease in Women.
Everyone is welcome!
