The Faculty of Medicine reminds you that the deadline for nominating candidates for the Falch Junior Prize and the Falch Senior Prize is March 5, 2026. The prizes are awarded by Consul Søren Falch and ophthalmologist Sigurd Falch's Fund for Medical Science.
Junior prize
The Junior Prize is awarded to young researchers under the age of 40 for original and in-depth research work of great scientific or societal importance. The prize is 100,000 kroner in operating funds. Nominations can be submitted by heads of departments and professors and must include a professional review, CV, list of publications, documented results and a popular science presentation.
The senior award
The Senior Prize honors outstanding research leadership and has a prize amount of NOK 150,000. The criteria include personal research efforts, research development and recruitment, internationalization and research policy leadership. Nominations can be submitted by heads of departments at the faculty.
