UiB idé gives employees and students the opportunity to verify good innovation ideas, which must be developed and tested before they are developed further. The maximum support amount is 500,000 kroner for research projects, and 100,000 kroner for student projects.
At ideen må vere innovativ tyder at han må vere knytt til samfunnsnytte og vere ny, samt at det må vere behov for han blant visse brukarar eller samfunnet ellers. Gode idear finst i alle fagmiljø, og kan vere sosiale innovasjonar, innovasjon i offentleg sektor, prosessinnovasjonar, kommersialiseringsprosjekt eller andre typar innovasjon.
