The Civitan Norway Alzheimer's Research Fund is now opening applications for research funding for 2026. A total of NOK 1,000,000 will be awarded to Norwegian research projects that contribute to increased knowledge about Alzheimer's disease.
The fund was established in 1999 and aims to support research that either sheds light on the causal mechanisms of the disease or develops measures that can help people with Alzheimer's and their relatives.
Who can apply?
- Applicants must have a doctorate degree
- The project must be affiliated with a Norwegian university, university hospital or other academic institution.
- Applications are considered according to career stage.
- It is possible to apply for all or part of the amount.
The fund notes that funds will only be distributed if qualified applications are received.
