The Center for Pharmacy hereby invites academic communities to offer master's projects in pharmacy to be carried out in the period autumn 2026 - spring 2027. If academic communities have ongoing or planned research projects that may be relevant for master's degree students in pharmacy, we would like the supervisor to prepare a short summary of the relevant projects and submit it via this form: Forslag til masteroppgaver for farmasi, 2026-2027.
Deadline Friday, December 19, 2025.
Summary/project description must contain:
- Project/assignment title/working title.
- Name of supervisor(s) and supervisor(s)'s workplace/where the assignment will be performed, contact information for supervisor/contact person. All students should have 2 supervisors, and must have at least one UiB employee (internal) supervisor. For external projects, the external party must provide the main supervisor, while the supervisor at UiB must be the co-supervisor.
- A brief summary of the project's research question, objectives of the thesis, and information about which research methods are relevant to the project. It should be clear why the thesis is considered relevant for master's degree students in pharmacy.
- Possible information about which field of study topics are relevant in the thesis.
Information about how and when the supervisor selects the student(s) and any deadlines for students to express interest must be described (see PUF-referat 13. mars 2019, case 3/19). The thesis will not be assigned to any students until AFTER the presentation of the master's theses (February 6), see more information below.
More about assignment and task selection:
If several students express their interest, the supervisor must notify those who were not offered the assignment. If the student has expressed interest in several projects, the student must also notify all supervisors they have been in contact with when they have chosen a project.
The master's thesis:
The students in the 2022 cohort (27 students) of the Integrated Master's Program in Pharmacy at UiB will complete a master's thesis equivalent to 45 credits and 15 credits of specialization courses in the 2026/2027 academic year.
Students must have chosen a task and entered into «Agreement for master's thesis in pharmacy" regarding supervision by April 1, 2026. The submission date for the master's thesis is Thursday, May 20, 2027, at 12:00.
Presentation of the master's theses – set for the date February 6, 2026:
The Center for Pharmacy is planning a seminar for master's students on Friday, February 6, 2026, where we invite you to present your master's project. The day will end with the Pharmaceutical Winter Festival in the evening in the canteen at Alrek. We will get back with more information.
