Hello everyone,
Autumn is often a work-intensive period, this year perhaps even more so than before with challenges in many areas. This applies to both the faculty, K2 and Stavanger University Hospital (SUS). At SUS, the main focus now is that on Sunday in 4 weeks we will move into the new SUS with all the somatic day care activities. This means a lot for patients and employees, and for researchers and students. The maintenance of the students' teaching and practice during the moving period is planned based on these assumptions. After the move, student activities will take place both at the new SUS and in the environments that will still remain at the current location in Våland. The faculty of medicine has some space integrated into the new SUS and additional space in a nearby building (Archives House). The curriculum for the multi-campus model for Vestlandslegen has been under consultation and SUS is also very keen that this will be successful.
SUS will follow up on the assessments in NFR's EVALMEDHELSE which was clear that increased collaboration with the university is recommended for further research efforts and development. This will also be part of SUS' new research strategy. Here there are opportunities for many K2 environments to expand research collaboration across the faculties' locations. If you need contact information for possible research collaboration, please feel free to contact me!
Have a great weekend!
