Denne utlysningen er en felles satsing mellom de europeiske samfunnsoppdragene for kreftbekjempelse og utvikling av klimanøytrale, smarte byer.

Webinaret arrangeres i samarbeid med de nasjonale plattformene for samfunnsoppdragene. Dette inkluderer Kreftforeningen, Doga, EU-nettverket ITS Horizon, og Forskningsrådet.

Welcome to our event where we will take a closer look at an upcoming call in Horizon Europe. The theme is the use of walking and cycling in cities as a way to prevent cancer. This call is a joint effort between the European missions for cancer control and the development of climate-neutral, smart cities.

Denne uken etablerte UiB et tjenestesenter for lønn, reise og fravær som skal yte tjenester til alle ansatte ved Universitetet. Tjenestesenteret bemannes av de ansatte som i dag arbeider på lønnskontoret og i fagspesialistteamet. Hovedformålet er å levere like og kompetente tjenester til alle ansatte. Brukerstøtten vil legge til rette for mer direkte kontakt mellom deg som ansatt og tjenestesenteret.

Du vil kunne nå dem både via Chat, Telefon og UiB hjelp. I tillegg ble en ny nettside lansert 1. mars.  Tjenestesenter for lønn, reise og fravær.

Systemene vi skal bruke vil være de samme som i dag, men kontaktpunktet blir endret og det vil bli lagt stor vekt på service overfor brukerne.

Tjenestesenteret skal:

1. Drive saksbehandling
2. Gi støtte, råd og veiledning
3. Holde kurs

I vedlagte ser dere en oversikt over de tjenestene som Tjenestesenteret skal blant annet ha ansvar for å svare på spørsmål om lønn, permisjoner, ferie, sykemeldinger og reiseregninger. I dag når dere har spørsmål om disse tjenestene, tar dere vanligvis kontakt med enten administrasjonssjef eller HR-rådgiver. Når Tjenestesenteret er etablert skal dere ta direkte kontakt med dem ved spørsmål og behov for avklaringer.

For eksempel:

1. Hva skal jeg gjøre med denne reiseregningen?

1. Kan jeg flytte ferien min?
2. Har jeg rett på permisjon fra stillingen min?

Men, beslutninger angående disse temaene som har økonomiske konsekvenser, skal fortsatt tas på instituttnivå, enten av instituttleder eller administrasjonssjef. Det betyr at det fortsatt er vi som godkjenner for eksempel permisjoner, reiseregninger, overføring av ferie osv.

Tjenestesenteret sin brukerstøtte har følgende tre kanaler og åpningstider:

From 1^st of March, you can contact the Service Centre for salary, travel, and absence if you need help with, for example, travel expenses, salary, holiday, the self-service portal, leave of absence, and more. The services provided by the Service Centre will largely be the same as those previously delivered by the Salary Section, but there will be an increased focus on user support through a dedicated support team that can assist you with your inquiries.

The Service Centre’s support team has the following three channels and opening hours:

Senter for grunnforskning (CAS) har nå lyst ut to ‘Young CAS Grants’ for perioden januar 2026 til desember 2027. Young CAS-programmet har som mål å støtte fremragende yngre forskere ved å gi dem muligheten til å bygge selvstendige forskningsnettverk og samle erfaring som forskningsledere.

Søknadsfrist 21. mai 2025

Mål: Støtte unge forskere gjennom workshops, forskningsopphold og nettverksmuligheter for unge CAS PI, som vil bidra til å realisere prosjektets mål og fremme søkerens karriere.

Kriterier:

• Alder på 40 år innen søknadsfristen.
• Fulltids akademiske stilling ved en av partnerinstitusjonene (fast/midlertidig) og minst for det første året av programmet.
• Laboratoriebasert forskning kan ikke utføres ved CAS (men laboratoriearbeid, feltarbeid eller datainnsamling er velkomne hvis de har som mål å utvikle den teoretiske delen av forskningen).

The Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) has now announced two ‘Young CAS Grants’ for the period from January 2026 to December 2027. The Young CAS program aims to support outstanding early-career researchers by providing them with the opportunity to establish independent research networks and gain experience as research leaders.

Aim: Supporting young researchers through workshop, research stay and networking opportunities for young CAS PI, which will contribute to realizing the project’s objectives and further the applicant’s career

With the following criteria-

• The age of 40 by the application deadline.
• Full time academic position at one of the partner institutions (permanent/temporary) and at least for the first year of the program.
• Laboratory based research cannot be conducted at CAS (but laboratory work, fieldwork or data collection are welcome if they aim to develop the theoretical aspect of the research).
