Trial lecture for position as Professor at Broegelmann

Tim Willinger will Friday 16 October at 12.00 hold a trial lecture for a position as Professor at Broegelmann Research Laboratory, titled «The Adaptive Immune System», at BB-bygget Auditorium 2.

All faculty, researchers and students are welcome.

Tim Willinger’s research focuses on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that govern immune responses in the lung, with emphasis on macrophages and other tissue-resident immune cells. His laboratory uses advanced genetic and genomic approaches to understand how the immune system helps maintain healthy lung function and how disturbed immune function causes lung disease.

In this teaching lecture, he will present an overview of the adaptive immune system and its role in human health and disease.
