Changing Prospects Conference 2016

Dear friends and colleagues,

Registration for next year’s “The Changing Prospects for Cancer” conference on the 11th March 2016 at Old Trafford Lancashire Cricket Club is now open.
You can find out more about the conference by visiting our brand new website and our changing prospects promotional video.

The conference is subtitled “A Good Survival” and will be focusing on the different elements that together contribute to better experiences and better outcomes for patients living with and beyond cancer:

* What does “A Good Survival” look like from a patient’s perspective? (including a patient panel)

* “Getting the consequences of treatment sorted” – new approaches, innovation, challenges and barriers

* Commissioning for a good survival – including the opportunities and challenges associated with the devolution of the health and social care budget in Manchester

* Innovation in digital health, innovation in implementation of NCSI national guidelines, and challenges around talking to patients about sex and sexuality

The full programme and instructions as to how to register can be found on the website.
In the run up to the conference, we have asked patients, carers and staff to provide regular blogs about any aspects of “Living with and Beyond Cancer” they feel is important. I hope you will take the time to read some of these stories, a new story will run every two weeks or so, and we will alert you via email when they go live.

Abstracts
As before, we invite you to submit abstracts for the poster display at the conference. Successful abstracts will be displayed on the day, printed in the conference literature and on the conference website. You can find instructions for submitting your abstract here.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is the 10th December 2015.
I look forward to welcoming you to The Changing Prospects for Cancer 2016!
