Ledelsen med Per Bakke i spissen legger derfor ut p\u00e5 en 3-ukers tur til verdens h\u00f8yest rangerte universiteter i juni, blant annet Harvard, NIH, Mayoklinikken og et eliteuniversitet p\u00e5 Hawaii. Der vil instituttets forskning presenteres og man vil l\u00e6re mer om hvordan man kan s\u00f8ke finansiering fra USA, blant annet fra NIH og industri.<\/p>\n<p>Med opphold, kost og reise (5-stjernes hoteller og business class grunnet tett reiseprogram) kommer ekskursjonen p\u00e5 om lag 500\u00a0000. Det synes kanskje dyrt, men potensialet er stort og vi velger \u00e5 bruke handlingsrommet v\u00e5rt p\u00e5 denne m\u00e5ten istedenfor \u00e5 ansette en forskningsr\u00e5dgiver.<\/p>\n<p>Ledelsen har plass til 1-2 faste vitenskapelig ansatte utenom ledergruppen til deltagelse p\u00e5 turen. In June the management lead by Per Bakke will embark on a 3-week trip to the world&#8217;s highest ranked universities, including Harvard, NIH, the Mayo Clinic and an elite university in Hawaii. The institute&#8217;s research will be presented and the management will learn more about how to apply for funding from the United States, including from the NIH and the industry.<\/p>\n<p>The trip, including stay, board and travel (5 star hotels and business class due to tight itinerary) comes to about 500 000 NOK. This may seem expensive, but the potential is huge and we choose to use our leeway like this\u00a0instead of hiring a research consultant .<\/p>\n<p>The management wants 1-2 persons from the permanent academic staff to join the trip.
