[:no]\"\"I juni i \u00e5r er vann, klima og samfunn overordnet tema for Bergen sommer-forskerskole, med Professor Terje Tvedt som vitenskapelig leder.<\/p>\n

Fra 13.-24. juni 2016 samles noen av verdens fremste eksperter p\u00e5 vann til en tverrfaglig forskerskole som vil ta for seg ulike aspekter ved vann som en global utfordring.<\/p>\n

Det blir sju parallelle tredagers kurs med spenn fra naturvitenskap, helse, samfunnsfag og humaniora:
\n1. Climate change and water
\n2. Modelling the complexities of water, climate and society
\n3. Poverty, climate change and water
\n4. River basins, power and law
\n5. The ocean, climate and society
\n6. Religion and water
\n7. Water and global health<\/p>\n

I tillegg blir det en rekke plenumssesjoner. Vi vil ogs\u00e5 bes\u00f8ke vestlandske fjorder og fjell for \u00e5 se hvordan mennesker temmet vannet, hvordan vannet formet samfunnet og for \u00e5 oppleve effekten klimaforandring har p\u00e5 v\u00e5r tredje st\u00f8rste isbre.<\/p>\n

Den \u00e5rlige sommerskolen tiltrekker seg PhD-stipendiater og yngre forskere fra hele verden som arbeider med noen av de st\u00f8rste utfordringene vi st\u00e5r overfor.<\/p>\n

 [:en]\"\"Water, Climate and Society is the overarching theme for next summer’s Bergen Summer Research School, with Professor Terje Tvedt as scientific leader.<\/p>\n

From June 13-24, 2016, some of the top international experts on water will gather in Bergen to create a multidisciplinary venue for exploring water as a global challenge.<\/p>\n

Seven parallel three-day courses will span disciplines within within natural sciences, health disciplines, social sciences and the humanities:
\n1. Climate change and water
\n2. Modelling the complexities of water, climate and society
\n3. Poverty, climate change and water
\n4. River basins, power and law
\n5. The ocean, climate and society
\n6. Religion and water
\n7. Water and global health<\/p>\n

In addition to these seven courses there will be a series of plenary sessions. We will also visit the waterscape of western Norway to see how people tamed the power of water, how it shaped society, and the effect climate change has on one of Norway’s biggest glaciers.<\/p>\n

The annual multidisciplinary research school attracts PhD students and junior researchers from all over the world, working on some of the greatest challenges of our time.<\/p>\n
