\nMarch 10 th – 12 th, 2016 in Cologne<\/p>\n

It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 11th ORPHEUS Conference \u201cLost in translation? From medical studies to clinical research\u201d taking place from March 10th-12th 2016 on the Medical Campus at the University of Cologne, Germany.<\/p>\n

The ORPHEUS Conference is organized under the patronage of the Organization for PhD Education in Biomedicine and health Sciences of the European System (ORPHEUS –http:\/\/www.orpheus-med.org\/<\/a>) by the Faculty of Medicine and the Center for Molecular Medicine Cologne at the University of Cologne.<\/p>\n

The aim of the conference is to discuss the complete career path in biomedicine and health sciences beginning with undergraduate level, followed by the doctoral period and the subsequent transition phase. Special emphasis will be given to the impact of innovative doctoral educational programs and the training of physician scientists. International experts will present innovative strategies and concepts on the themes:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Research training for medical and natural science students in biomedical research
\n\u2022 Perspectives for physician scientists of the 21st century
\n\u2022 Graduate programs for clinicians in biomedicine and health science
\n\u2022 Impact on innovations within doctoral education<\/p>\n

As one major highlight Carla Nau (L\u00fcbeck – GER) will present the ORPHEUS Lecture \u2018Challenges of becoming a physician scientist – a personal insight\u2019 as our honorary guest speaker on March 10, 2016. The program also includes a debate session \u201cWhy we Do\/Don\u2019t need physician scientists\u2019, a poster session for networking and four workshop sessions.
