Da er vi i advent igjen, og mange emner skal ha eksamen f\u00f8r \u00e5rets h\u00f8stsemester avsluttes 12.12.14. Det er en travel tid b\u00e5de for studenter, undervisere, sensorer og studieadministrasjonen. I tillegg p\u00e5g\u00e5r detaljplanleggingen av ny studieplan for medisin for fullt. Denne var igjen behandlet i fakultetsstyret 26.11.14. Rammer for undervisning og eksamen ble vedtatt. I framtidens medisinerstudium blir det maksimalt 19 timer timeplanfestet undervisning per uke, og eksamen i slutten av hvert semester som tverrfaglig skal teste l\u00e6ringsm\u00e5lene, og i slutten av 3. og 6. studie\u00e5r ogs\u00e5 praktisk stasjonseksamen (OSCE-eksamen). Hvert semester vil f\u00e5 et semesterstyre som har ansvar for undervisning og eksamen, og K2 vil ha ansvar for 3 semesterstyrer, og for avsluttende eksamen 6. studie\u00e5r. For at semesterstyrene skal f\u00e5 best mulig grunnlag for sitt viktige planarbeid er det n\u00e5 tid for at fagomr\u00e5delederne i samr\u00e5d med emneansvarlige samler underviserne og planlegger n\u00e5r og hvordan undervisningen skal gjennomf\u00f8res i ny studieplan. En detaljert plan for fordeling av studiepoeng mellom emner i ulike semestre er utgangspunkt for dette viktige arbeidet. F\u00f8rste studie\u00e5r i ny plan starter h\u00f8sten 2015, h\u00f8sten 2016 starter ny studieplan ogs\u00e5 i 4. studie\u00e5r. Det blir dermed 4 \u00e5r overgangsfase med undervisning b\u00e5de etter ny og gammel plan. Jeg vet at flere fagomr\u00e5der er godt i gang, og det er viktig \u00e5 ferdigstille v\u00e5r del av undervisningsplanleggingen snarlig. Jeg ber om at dette oversendes studieleder innen 31. januar, 2015. So we are in advent again, and many courses will have exams before the autumn semester comes to an end on 12.12.14. This is a busy time for both students, lecturers, censors and the academic administration.\u00a0 In addition, detailed planning of new curriculum for the school of medicine is ongoing.\u00a0 This issue was once again on the agenda at the Faculty Board meeting on 26.11.14.\u00a0 The framework for teaching and exams was approved.\u00a0 In the future curriculum there will be at most 19 hours of scheduled teaching activities every week, and there will be exams at the end of each semester covering the multi-disciplinary learning goals.\u00a0 In addition, at the end of 3rd<\/sup> and 6th<\/sup> year, a practical station exam (OSCE-exam) will take place.\u00a0 Each semester, a semester council responsible for teaching and exam activities will be established, and K2 will be responsible for three of these semester councils, as well as for final exams on the 6th<\/sup> study year.\u00a0 In order for the semester councils to have as strong a foundation as possible for its important work, it is now time for the heads of the academic sections, in coordination with people in charge of courses and topics, to gather lecturers and plan when and how teaching will be done of the individual topics in the new curriculum.\u00a0 A detailed plan for distribution of study credits between courses in different semesters is the starting point for this important work.\u00a0 The new curriculum will be implemented for first-year students from autumn 2015 and onwards, and in autumn 2016 a new curriculum will also be implemented for fourth-year students.\u00a0 Thus there will be a 4-year period where teaching will follow both the new and the old curriculum.\u00a0 I know that several academic sections are already well underway with this work, and it is important to finish our part of the teaching planning as soon as possible.\u00a0 I kindly ask this to be sent to head of academic affairs within January 31, 2015.\u00a0 Updated information on the new curriculum is available at http:\/\/www.uib.no\/mofa\/63484\/ny-studieplan-medisinstudiet-ved-uib<\/a>\u00a0(in Norwegian)<\/p>\n
