Alle kollegaene som er ansatt i s\u00e5kalte dobbeltstillinger er p\u00e5 mange m\u00e5ter navet i dette samarbeidet og er n\u00f8kkelpersoner i \u00e5 drive den klinisk forskningen fremover. Derfor vil jeg stille sp\u00f8rsmlet &#8211; kan vi bygge videre og utvide denne strategien?<\/p>\n<p>B\u00e5de HUS og UiB har \u00f8konomiske utfordringer som krever omstillinger. Samtidig skal antall medisinstudenter \u00f8kes kraftig og klinisk undervisning spres til mange sykehus i regionen. Stavanger universitetssykehus har allerede etablert fullt klinisk studien for medisinere og etter hvert skal Haugesund og F\u00f8rde f\u00f8lge etter. Dette vil kreve mye undervisningspersonell av personer med formell pedagogisk kompetanse som ogs\u00e5 helst skal drive forsking i verdenstoppen og samtidig helst dra inn millioner av kompetitive forskningsmidler<\/p>\n<p>H\u00f8sten er stor, men arbeiderne f\u00e5, st\u00e5r det skrevet et sted \u2013 kan vi f\u00e5 flere arbeidere til denne store oppgaven? Kan flere helsepersonell med formell forskningskompetanse knyttes til UiB uten n\u00f8dvendigvis \u00e5 ha en bistilling og slik v\u00e6re kvalifisert til \u00e5 v\u00e6re hovedveiledere for PhD-studenter? Kan en slik tilknytning forplikte til noe undervisning ved \u00abVestland Medical School\u00bb etter et system som ligner det man har ved \u00abHarvard Medical School\u00bb?. Igjen for dette vil disse legene (evt andre profesjoner) som vil drive forskning ha tilgang til universitetets systemer og ressurser for pedagogisk utdannelse.<\/p>\n<p>Jeg er overbevist om at b\u00e5de UiB, HUS og den enkelte legeforsker vil vinne p\u00e5 et slikt samarbeid p\u00e5 personellsiden og v\u00e6re bedre rustet i kampen om knappe nasjonale ressurser.<\/p>\n<p>HUS + UiB er sant?<\/p>\n<p>God helg n\u00e5r den tid kommer<\/p>\n<p>Eystein<br \/>\nVisestyrer[:en]<a href=\"https:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/files\/2024\/11\/picture-11023-1605094486.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-24153\" src=\"https:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/files\/2024\/11\/picture-11023-1605094486-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/files\/2024\/11\/picture-11023-1605094486-240x300.jpg 240w, https:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/files\/2024\/11\/picture-11023-1605094486.jpg 420w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>The harvest is great, but the workers few<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As an employee at the University of Bergen and Haukeland University Hospital for almost 30 years, I have been able to take part in and witness a fantastic development of research and competence in our institutions. All colleagues who are employed in so-called dual positions are in many ways the hub of this collaboration and are key people in driving clinical research forward. Therefore, I would like to ask the question &#8211; can we build on and expand this strategy?<\/p>\n<p>Both HUS and UiB have financial challenges that require restructuring. At the same time, the number of medical students will be greatly increased and clinical teaching will be spread to many hospitals in the region. Stavanger University Hospital has already established a full clinical study for medical students, and Haugesund and F\u00f8rde will eventually follow suit. This will require a lot of teaching staff of people with formal pedagogical competence who will also preferably conduct research at the top of the world and at the same time preferably bring in millions of competitive research funds<\/p>\n<p>The autumn is great, but the workers are few, it is written somewhere \u2013 can we obtain more workers for this big task? Can more health personnel with formal research competence be linked to UiB without necessarily having a part-time position and thus be qualified to be main supervisors for PhD students? Can such an affiliation oblige to some teaching at &laquo;Vestland Medical School&raquo; according to a system similar to that of &laquo;Harvard Medical School&raquo;? In return for this, these doctors (or other professions) who want to conduct research will have access to the university&#8217;s systems and resources for pedagogical education.<\/p>\n<p>I am convinced that both UiB, HUS and the individual medical researcher will benefit from such cooperation.
