Publication fund for Open Access at the University of Bergen<\/p>\n
UoB has established a publication fund in order to support Open Access publishing for a trial period lasting from 2013 to 2015. In 2014 the publication fund has received 1,8 million NOK.<\/p>\n

Ansatte, ph.d.-kandidater og masterstudenter kan s\u00f8ke om midler til \u00e5 dekke forfatterbetaling for Open Access-publisering her<\/a><\/p>\n Hovedkriteriene for tildeling er:<\/b><\/p>\n – Kun korresponderende forfattere som er tilknyttet UiB som ansatt, ph.d.-kandidat eller masterstudent kan s\u00f8ke om st\u00f8tte.<\/p>\n – Publikasjonen m\u00e5 v\u00e6re tilgjengelig Open Access med en Creative Commons-lisens, umiddelbart etter publisering.<\/p>\n – Ordningen inkluderer b\u00e5de publisering i Open Access-tidsskrift (gold) og frikj\u00f8p av enkeltartikler i tradisjonelle tidsskrift (hybrid).<\/p>\n – Publikasjonen m\u00e5 v\u00e6re registrert p\u00e5 niv\u00e5 1 eller 2 i Database for statistikk om h\u00f8gre utdanning (DBH), eller dokumentert innmeldt. Publikasjonen m\u00e5 v\u00e6re fagfellevurdert.<\/p>\n – Ordningen er i utgangspunktet ment til vitenskapelige artikler, men andre typer publikasjoner, for eksempel b\u00f8ker, kan inkluderes der det finnes gode, kvalitetssikrede l\u00f8sninger.<\/p>\n UB deltar gjerne p\u00e5 avdelingsm\u00f8ter eller lignende for \u00e5 informere om ordningen. Kontakt<\/a>\u00a0for mer informasjon.<\/p>\n Employees, PhD-candidates and master students can apply for funding to cover Open Access Article Processing Charges (APC) here<\/a>.<\/p>\n The main principles for support are:<\/b><\/p>\n – Only corresponding authors who are affiliated to UoB as employees, PhD-candidates or master students can apply for funding.<\/p>\n – The publication must be available Open Access with a Creative Commons license, immediately after publication.<\/p>\n – The fund supports both publishing in Open Access journals (gold) and paying to make individual articles in traditional journals Open Access (hybrid).<\/p>\n – The publication must be approved on level 1 or 2 in the Norwegian register of scientific journals, series and publishers (DBH), or documented as registered. The publication has to be peer reviewed.<\/p>\n – The fund is meant to support scientific journal articles.
