{"id":21880,"date":"2023-08-17T18:37:15","date_gmt":"2023-08-17T17:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/?p=21880"},"modified":"2023-08-17T19:41:34","modified_gmt":"2023-08-17T18:41:34","slug":"long-term-consequences-of-the-covid-19-pandemic-for-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/k2info.w.uib.no\/nb_no\/2023\/08\/17\/long-term-consequences-of-the-covid-19-pandemic-for-society\/","title":{"rendered":"Long-Term Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic for Society"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:no]The Pandemic Centre invites to its third conference with the title &laquo;Long-Term Consequences of the COVID-19 Pandemic for Society&raquo; on the 27th of October 2023 in Bergen, Norway.<\/p>\n<p>More info <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/pandemi\/163420\/long-term-consequences-covid-19-pandemic-society\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We are happy to share with you that we received confirmation from the first two key-not speakers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rstmh.org\/dr-sylvie-briand\"><strong>Dr. Sylvie Briand<\/strong><\/a>, Director of the Pandemic and Epidemic diseases Department, WHO Director of the Global Infectious Hazard Preparedness (GIH), WHO Emergency Preparedness (WPE) at the WHO<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.ox.ac.uk\/people\/dr-erica-charters\"><strong>Dr. Erica Charters<\/strong><\/a>, Professor of the Global History of Medicine, University of Oxford, UK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr. Briand will be holding a talk on &laquo;<strong>Lesson learnt from COVID-19 for better preparedness for long health crisis<\/strong>\u201d and Dr. Charters on \u201c<strong>What can we learn from the end of a pandemic?<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>We have now launched the portal where researchers and contributors can send in their abstracts: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/pandemi\/163375\/call-abstracts-long-term-consequences-covid-19-pandemic-society\">https:\/\/www.uib.no\/pandemi\/163375\/call-abstracts-long-term-consequences-covid-19-pandemic-society<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The deadline for abstract submission is 21st August.<\/p>\n<p>We also have a teasing page for the overall conference here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uib.no\/pandemi\/163420\/long-term-consequences-covid-19-pandemic-society\">https:\/\/www.uib.no\/pandemi\/163420\/long-term-consequences-covid-19-pandemic-society<\/a> .
