Dette har gitt oss mulighet til ulike strategiske satsinger, feks. innen bioinformatikk, folkehelseunders\u00f8kelser, ern\u00e6ring og genomikk. Budsjettet som Universitetet i Bergen gir Medisinsk fakultet i 2020 betyr en strammere \u00f8konomi for K2. Det gis et tillegg p\u00e5 8 millioner som resultatsvekst samt 3% \u00f8kning som kompensasjon for pris og l\u00f8nns\u00f8kning. Nedsiden er at UiB trekker 1% i et s\u00e5kalt strategikutt. Disse midlene skal UiB bruke til \u00e5 bygge opp et overskudd som de \u00f8nsker \u00e5 bruke til strategiske satsinger. Det trekkes ogs\u00e5 0,5% i et effektiviseringskutt. Men det som virkelig forsl\u00e5r er at husleien \u00f8ker med 5,1%. Videre mister fakultetet 7 rekrutteringsstillinger.<\/p>\n<p>Fakultetet klarer ikke \u00e5 dekke inn hele denne innstrammingen slik at instituttene m\u00e5 ta noe av denne inklusive K2. L\u00f8nnsmessig ble 2019 et godt \u00e5r for de ansatte, men UiBs kompensasjon for pris og l\u00f8nns\u00f8kning dekker bare ca. 1\/3 av denne. K2 m\u00e5 derfor v\u00e6re mer forsiktig \u00f8konomisk sett i 2020. Vi har besluttet at K2 ikke gjentar seminaret for alle i 2020, men satser heller p\u00e5 et strategiseminar for forskingsgruppeledere, plattformledere og undervisningsledere samt en HMS-dag for alle ansatte som tidligere. Vi m\u00e5 ogs\u00e5 fryse noen stillinger. K2 har som m\u00e5l \u00e5 v\u00e6re i budsjettbalanse for \u00e5 ha en sunn \u00f8konomi og ikke komme p\u00e5 etterskudd. Det gir oss handlekraft selv om \u00f8konomien blir strammere.<\/p>\n<p>K2 er fakultetets st\u00f8rste institutt og et av de de st\u00f8rste ved UiB. Vi f\u00e5r til forskning, undervisning, innovasjon og kommunikasjon helt i toppen i universitetssektoren i Norge. This has given us the opportunity to various strategic initiatives, e.g. in bioinformatics, public health studies, nutrition and genomics. The budget for 2020 that the University of Bergen will give to the Faculty of Medicine means a tighter economy for K2. An increase of 8 million NOK is provided as profit growth and a 3% increase as compensation for the price and wage increase. The downside is that UiB deducts 1% in a so-called strategy cut. These funds will be used by UiB to build up a fund that they wish to use for strategic initiatives. 0.5% is also deducted in a efficiency cut. But what really affects the economy is that the rent for our spaces increases by 5.1%. Furthermore, the Faculty loses 7 recruitment positions.<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty is unable to cover all these cuts, so the departments must take some of these, including K2. The employees had a solid increase in salaries in 2019, but UiB&#8217;s compensation for the price and wage increases only covers approx. 1\/3 of this. K2 must in 2020 therefore financially be more cautious. We have decided that K2 will in 2020 not repeat the K2 Retreat for everyone, but rather focus on a Strategy Seminar for the research group leaders, platform leaders and education leaders as well as an HMS Day for all employees as before. We must also freeze some positions. K2 aims to be in budget balance to have a healthy economy and not be in arrears. It gives us a momentum even if the economy gets tighter.<\/p>\n<p>K2 is the faculty&#8217;s largest department and one of the largest at UiB. We perform research, teaching, innovation and communication at the very top of the university sector in Norway.
