Der finnes Allgemeine Krankenhaus, sykehuset der Ignaz Semmelweis p\u00e5viste sammenhengen mellom legers og jordm\u00f8dres mangel p\u00e5 h\u00e5ndhygiene og utbredelsen av barselsfeber. V\u00e5rt kull bes\u00f8kte sykehuset i studietiden og fikk en utmerket visitt av en utvilsomt viktig professor med laaang hale etter. Gode minner str\u00f8mmer p\u00e5. Kanskje f\u00e5r jeg tid til \u00e5 stikke innom igjen, selv om mitt oppdrag n\u00e5 er \u00e5 fokusere p\u00e5 genetikk og ikke milj\u00f8 ved \u00e5 gi et foredrag om monogen diabetes p\u00e5 \u00e5rsm\u00f8tet til European Study Group for Pediatric Endocrinology.<\/p>\n<p>Denne type kongresser gir viktig faglig p\u00e5fyll. Finansieringen av reise og opphold endret seg drastisk for mange \u00e5r siden for \u00e5 holde klarere linjer mellom ansatte ved universiteter og helseinstitusjoner og kommersiell virksomhet, noe jeg tror var riktig med tanke p\u00e5 potensielle konkurranseforhold og den enkeltes lojalitet. Det bringer meg til sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l, og v\u00e5r plikt til to ganger i \u00e5ret \u00e5 oppdatere disse.<\/p>\n<p>Med sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l menes bistilling, bierverv, oppdrag og verv som en ansatt ved UiB har utenom sin stilling ved UiB, uansett om arbeidet eller vervet er l\u00f8nnet eller ikke. Ogs\u00e5 arbeid som utf\u00f8res for et foretak eller selskap som helt eller delvis eies av den ansatte, anses som sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l.<\/p>\n<p>Prinsippene om sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l finnes i <a href=\"https:\/\/regler.app.uib.no\/regler\/Del-2-Forskning-utdanning-og-formidling\">UiBs Regelsamling<\/a>\u00a0og gjelder alle UiB-tilsatte, uavhengig av stillingskategori og stillingsbr\u00f8k. De skal verne om v\u00e5rt omd\u00f8mme og de ansattes tillit og integritet. Det skal v\u00e6re \u00e5penhet om sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l som kan ha betydning for arbeidet ved universitetet. Alle m\u00e5 p\u00e5 eget initiativ melde fra om sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f8lgende trenger ikke registreres: Medlemskap i eksterne bed\u00f8mmelseskomiteer, referee for fagtidsskrift, oppgaver som ekstern sensor, faglige verv som f\u00f8lger med hovedstilling eller enkeltst\u00e5ende mindre oppdrag innen undervisning eller formidling ved andre institusjoner, eller ubetalte verv av begrenset omfang for allmennyttige institusjoner.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f8lgende skal meldes: Sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l som kan komme i konkurranseforhold til universitetets virksomhet, er av langvarig eller omfattende karakter og kan skape tvil om den ansattes lojalitet, vilje eller evne til \u00e5 utf\u00f8re sitt arbeid ved universitetet p\u00e5 den m\u00e5ten stillingens og universitetets form\u00e5l tilsier, og vedvarende bruk av universitetets ressurser og infrastruktur.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f8knader om sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l vurderes etter universitetets prinsipper for sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l. B\u00e5de registrering av sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l som krever godkjenning eller som bare skal registreres, gj\u00f8res i Pagaweb. Opplysninger om sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5let lagres der og vil bli gjort offentlig tilgjengelig.<\/p>\n<p>Instituttleder godkjenner eller avsl\u00e5r s\u00f8knader. Avslag p\u00e5 s\u00f8knad kan ankes til fakultetsstyret eller universitetsdirekt\u00f8ren. Brudd p\u00e5 prinsippene for sidegj\u00f8rem\u00e5l kan medf\u00f8re personalmessige konsekvenser etter tjenestemannsloven og andre reaksjoner etter reglene for mislighold i statstjenesten.<\/p>\n<p>Dette virker kanskje noe negativt? There we have Allgemeine Krankenhaus, the hospital where Ignaz Semmelweis demonstrated the connection between doctors and midwives&#8217; lack of hand hygiene and the prevalence of puerperal fever. Our class at medical school visited the hospital and were able to follow an excellent round from an undoubtedly important professor with a looooong tail of people behind\u2026.. Good memories! Maybe I will have time to stop by again, although my mission is now to focus on genetics and not the environment by giving a lecture on monogenic diabetes at the annual meeting of the European Study Group for Pediatric Endocrinology.<\/p>\n<p>These types of congresses provide important academic replenishment. The funding of travel and accommodation changed drastically many years ago to maintain clearer lines between university and health care professionals and for-profit businesses, which I think was right in terms of potential competition as well as individual loyalty. That brings me to side line jobs, and our duty to update them twice a year.<\/p>\n<p>By side line jobs is meant job placement, job acquisition, assignments and assignments that an employee at UiB has outside his \/ her position at UiB, regardless of whether the work or job is paid or not. Work carried out for an enterprise or company wholly or partly owned by the employee is also regarded as a side line job.<\/p>\n<p>The principles for side line jobs can be found in <a href=\"https:\/\/regler.app.uib.no\/regler\/Del-2-Forskning-utdanning-og-formidling\">UiB&#8217;s Regelsamling<\/a>\u00a0(Norwegian only) and apply to all UiB employees, irrespective of the category of job and the number of positions. They must protect our reputation and the trust and integrity of the employees. There should be openness about side line jobs that may have an impact on the work of the university. Everyone must report on their own side assignment on their own initiative.<\/p>\n<p>The following need not be registered: Membership in external review committees, referee for professional journals, assignments as external examiner, professional assignments that accompany main position or individual minor assignments in teaching or dissemination at other institutions, or unpaid appointments of limited scope for non-profit institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The following must be reported: Side line jobs that may be in competition with the University&#8217;s activities, are of a long or extensive nature, and may cast doubt on the employee&#8217;s loyalty, willingness or ability to carry out his work at the University in the manner indicated by the position and the University&#8217;s purpose, and persistently use of the university&#8217;s resources and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for side line jobs are evaluated according to the University&#8217;s principles for side line jobs, see above. Both registration of page tasks that require approval, and those that are only to be registered, are done in Pagaweb. Information about the side line jobs is stored there and will be made publicly available.<\/p>\n<p>The Department Head approves or rejects applications. Rejection of an application can be appealed to the Faculty Board or the University Director. Violation of the principles of side-tasks can lead to personnel consequences under the Civil Service Act and other reactions under the rules of default in the civil service.<\/p>\n<p>This may seem negative?
