[:no]\"\"<\/a>Jeg jobbet fire dager i uken ved Program for Population Genetics, Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Broad er en privat institusjon tilknyttet Harvard University og Massachusetts Institute of Technology som fysisk er lokalisert til MIT-campus i Cambridge. Omr\u00e5det preges av et virvar av akademia, teknologi og innovasjon med en rekke giganter innen IT og farmas\u00f8ytisk industri. Her kan man med de rette kontaktene spise lunsj med lederne av for eksempel Google, Novartis og Pfizer. Det gj\u00f8r veien kort mellom akademi og industri.<\/p>\n

Leder for Broad er direkt\u00f8r og professor Eric Lander som har v\u00e6rt sentral for sekvensering av det humane genomet og kartlegging av genetiske sykdommer. Eric Lander er en mester i det \u00e5 skaffe midler. Under hans ledelse har Broad bygget to store bygg og huser mer enn 2000 ansatte. Forskere ved Broad er helt i fronten innen humangenetikk.<\/p>\n

Et av m\u00e5lene med oppholdet var \u00e5 kunne overf\u00f8re noe av dette til K2. Det er mange aspekter ved Broad som jeg tror har overf\u00f8ringsverdi. De har stor grad av \u00e5penhet, samarbeid, vinnerkultur og tydelig organisasjon med effektiv kommunikasjon, fokus p\u00e5 prim\u00e6roppgavene, ivaretaking av profesjonelle og sosiale forhold hos de ansatte og merkevarebygging \u2013 forhold som jeg tror vi kan arbeide enda mer med her p\u00e5 K2.<\/p>\n

Selv om jeg trives veldig godt p\u00e5 Broad, er det godt \u00e5 v\u00e6re hjemme p\u00e5 K2 igjen. Ser frem til en spennende tid fremover. Ha en riktig god helg!<\/p>\n

 [:en]\"\"<\/a>I worked four days a week at the Program for Population Genetics, Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. Broad is a private institution affiliated with Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology that physically is located at the MIT campus in Cambridge. The area is characterized by a mixture of academia, technology, and innovation with a number of giants in the IT and pharmaceutical industries. With the right contacts you can here have lunch with the leaders of for example Google, Novartis, and Pfizer. It makes the road short between academia and industry.<\/p>\n

Head of Broad is Director and Professor Eric Lander who has been central to sequencing the human genome and mapping genetic diseases. Eric Lander is a master of fundraising. Under his leadership, Broad has built two large buildings and houses more than 2000 employees. Researchers at Broad are at the forefront of human genetics.<\/p>\n

One of the goals of the stay was to be able to transfer some of this to K2. There are many aspects of Broad that I think have transfer value. They have a great degree of openness, cooperation, winning culture, and clear organization with effective communication, focus on primary tasks, safeguarding professional and social issues among the employees, and branding – matters that I think we can work even more with here at K2.<\/p>\n

Although I indeed enjoy may time at the Broad, it is good to be home at K2 again. Looking forward to an exciting time ahead. Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n
