Professor ved Klinisk institutt 2, Universitetet i Bergen, og forskningssjef ved S\u00f8rlandet Sykehus, Frode Gallefoss, ble den 15. november 2017 av Landsforeningen for Hjerte og Lungesykes (LHLs) styreleder John Normann Melheim tildelt LHLs pris for fremragende vitenskapelig arbeid ved kronisk obstruktiv lungesykdom (KOLS). Prisen er p\u00e5 50 000 kroner. Frode Gallefoss er en internasjonal forsker som har skapt bedre forebygging, pasientoppl\u00e6ring og behandling av personer med kols. Epokegj\u00f8rende var hans innovative nytte-kostnadsstudier av pasientoppl\u00e6ringsprogrammer. Tidligere har han mottatt WHOs gullmedalje for internasjonalt antitobakksarbeid og Kvalitetssikringsprisen til Den norske Legeforening.<\/p>\n

Professor at Department of Clinical Science, University of Bergen, and Research Manager at S\u00f8rlandet Hospital, Frode Gallefoss, was on 15 November 2017 awarded by the National Association for Heart and Lung Diseases\u2019 (LHL\u2019s) chairman, John Normann Melheim, for outstanding scientific work in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The price is NOK 50,000. Frode Gallefoss is an international researcher who has developed better prevention, patient training and treatment of people with COPD. Epochal was his innovative utility-cost studies of patient education programs. Earlier, he has received the WHO\u2019s Gold Medal for International Anti-Tobacco Work and the Quality Assurance Prize of the Norwegian Medical Association.<\/p>\n
